Snowboard Trick Tips How to Jump exercises off the snow!!

This video introduces you to the technical training which you don’t need to be on the snow.
Let’s check out two training key points before starting.

1. Always visualize yourself riding on the hill.
So that you face to the direction you are going.

2. For this practice, use both stances, right and left.

You will get big benefits if you work on the exercises with these two points for sure.
These exercises are fundamental training for freestyle snowboarding.

“JUMPING”

All tricks like Jibbing and Spinning start from lifting the board off the snow.
Yes, jumping is when you lift yourself off the snow.
You have to maintain balance in whole process of jumping, when you take off, when you are in the air, and when you are landing.
Let’s learn some fundamental exercises of jumping with balance.

1. Jump straight
Try finding your center of balance and keeping it.

2. Jump facing to the direction you are going
Jump and land on both feet.
Even if your head is looking to the side, you will keep your balance.

3. Jump forward facing to the direction
Jump and land on both feet.
Try not to jump with your front foot
Try visualizing yourself jumping over some obstacles.

4. Jump to the side
Just visualize yourself free riding and jumping onto a side wall.
Focus more on toe to heel balancing as well as jumping and landing on both feet.

5. Jump and spin 90
Visualize hitting the side wall.as you are approaching and landing diagonally.
Face where your nose is pointing.

6. Try jumping an object
Object should be at a reasonable height so you can maintain balance.
This is just an exercise for balancing and visualizing so you don’t have to challenge yourself with height.

7. Try jumping by only using your back foot
After you have gotten how to jump on both feet, try jumping with your back foot.
So imagine that you are doing Ollie.
The key point of doing this is learning how to use your front foot.
You can kick up your front foot forward and pull up your whole body with your front foot.
Jump with your back foot at the same time when you kick out your front foot.
Jump with an image that your upper body is standing straight on your back foot.
You can’t land on both of your feet together if you try to press your back foot by leaning your upper body back.

8. . Try jumping an object only with your back foot
Object should be at a reasonable height so you can maintain balance.
This is just an exercise for balancing and visualizing so you don’t have to challenge yourself with height.

9. Jump and spin 90 only with your back foot
Visualize that you are hitting the side wall.and a half pipe and that you are approaching and landing diagonally.

10. Try to jump on and off the steps
Try jumping with your back foot after you have gotten used to jumping with both feet.
Also visualize yourself riding on the hill.
This is just an exercise for balancing and visualizing so you don’t have to challenge yourself with height.

11. Try jumping sideways onto the steps
You can also imagine that you are free riding or jumping onto the box items.
Try jumping with both feet and try jumping with your back foot.
