Diaries Downunder | Episode 4 | 2014

Exploring the Southern Alps!

Crazy tricks on specially built features, fresh snow and some of the most incredible vistas our fine planet has to offer – this road trip in New Zealand’s South Island sure was a banger!
The lower half of New Zealand’s South Island is one of the least densely populated areas of the country – the untouched atmosphere and surroundings have to be seen be believed! In Episode 4, the crew track down the Southern Alps from Christchurch to Queenstown. We begin at Mount Hutt with a rail session that got loose with some crazy tricks from the likes of Mack James and Benny Comber. The next stop was Ohau – a must-do spot for anybody traversing the South Island during the winter months! The crew are then greeted with fresh snow and a crazy rock drop feature up at The Remarkables in Queenstown.

Whether you are considering flying into Christchurch and making your south to then leave Queenstown – or doing it in reverse, you won’t be disappointed – The Southern Alps (and several million sheep) will keep you company the entire way.
