また、今季から新しいランキング・システムになったTTRツアーに関して、セッペ・スミツ、マーク・マクモリスなどが、コメントしている。
これまでのTTRツアーでは、種目別王者は決めておらず、オーバーオール・チャンピオンを目指すフォーマットだったが、今季から種目別王者も決めるのだ。そのため、ハーフパイプ、スロープスタイルなど各種のチャンピオンが誕生することになる。一方でこれまでのように、オーバーオール・チャンピオンを決めることも継続している。
参加する選手たちも、この新しいシステムをウエルカムし、ポイントと賞金を稼ぎにNZ Openで戦っているのだ。
The 2011 TTR Burton New Zealand Open (BNZO) started off on a high note with the men’s and women’s Slopestyle semis finished and the pipe semis to come. The course and the pipe are both in perfect condition and it will be exciting to see what the world class riders will thrown down.
