Witnessing a snowboard being built in person is almost as crazy as looking through the annals of Burton history. These two experiences combine together at Burton’s Craig Kelly Prototype Facility. Essentially business in the back, party in the front, the Proto Facility combines a museum of Burton history including old boards, handwritten notes and photos from over the years with a walking tour of a complete board build.
Watch from start to finish as cores are milled, layers are lacquered and pressed, to the final tuning steps. Craig’s is also where team boards and, obviously, prototype boards can be created in the morning and tested in the afternoon.
