カナダで最も長く開催されているShowcase Showdownがウィスラーで開催された！
これまでブラッコムで行われていた大会は、ウィスラーで。それもゴンドラ降り場のメインエリアで行われて、たくさんの一般スノーボーダーの目に止まった。

参加者85人の内、25名はなんと15歳以下という若い選手だったとのことだ。
日本同様にカナダでも若いスノーボーダーがコンペティション・シーンを盛り上げている。
