ヘイキと言えば、先日、Bond Outerwearのライダーの発表があったばかり。そして、今度も誰にも知られていないWeekend Snowboardsというブランドにライダーに。
ヘイキほどの実力あるライダーなら、有名ブランドからの契約もできそうなものだが、今は不景気時代。そうもいかないのか。
というか、心機一転で新しいブランドを育てたい！という気持ちが強いのだろう。
Weekend Snowboardsが主張する「スノーボードは単に商品でなく、切望されるモノでなければならない。」というモットーが、今後どんな形で現れるのか、乞うご期待だ！
Weekend Snowboards
At Weekend, we believe snowboards should be coveted, not commodities. Each season, Weekend works with an artist that has influenced us to create a strictly limited number of high quality, Austrian made snowboards that are available only in the worlds finest snowboard retailers, and maybe out of the back of Carter’s truck in Jackson.
For 2010, we reached out to legendary illustrator Steve Nazar, creator of the iconic T&C Surf Designs characters in the mid 80’s to design the Lodge Series. This series is limited to 450 hand numbered pieces across 3 sizes and will be available in September of 2009.
