In their 8th full feature film – “The Doors” – Keiji Tajima – takes a behind the scenes look at the hardships the riders endure to push themselves by exploring new territories and riding unfamiliar terrain and situations via snowmobile, hiking, camping and living off the grid. After 6000 km of driving, 3000 km of sledding, endless hiking and living without a hot shower for weeks on end – The crew of HEART Films – were able to document the ups and downs of capturing and conquering the magnificent mountains and surviving in the rugged but beautiful nature offered in the backcountry of BC, Canada. ８作目となる今作品は、壮大な山々や美しい自然の中で表現されるライダー達の迫力あるライディングはもちろん、時に迷いながら、様々な困難を乗り越え、それぞれの未来へと続く『扉』を開いていくロードムービー。
活動のベースとなるウィスラーはもちろん、ペンバートン、レベルストーク、ゴールデンなど、雪を求めて車で約５８００km、モービルで約２７００kmを走破。どれくらいハイクしたのかは分からないけど、例年以上にカナダBC州のバックカントリーを駆け巡りました。
携帯の電波も風呂もないワイルドな環境で、約1ヶ月間に渡るハプニングいっぱいのキャンプ生活も収録されるなど、今までとは一味違ったエッセンスも加わり、スノーボードやスキーの魅力がぎっしり詰まった作品になっています。
