dmk's SNOWboarder's website gets over 54,000 hits a month and the subsequent page hits exceed 285,000 per month. The SNOWboarder's website leads the new media era in the snowboarding arena. The reasons why SNOWboarder's web is loved deeply by snowboarders SNOWboarder's web has three main sections: Contents, Community, and Shop. CONTENTS DIVISION The Contents division provides news, ‘how-to’ tips, gear information, and interviews. ‘Global news’ is the most popular section for its daily updated information. The news section includes competition news flashes, snowboard company news, pro-rider gossip and area information. dmk's Global News section is unique in that it presents a writer's perspective and analysis of the information to take viewers beyond the surface to have a more comprehensive understanding. dmk encourages users to submit news stories from all over the world. The ‘Interview’ section features everyone from well-know pro-riders to upcoming armature riders, from snowboard manufactures to magazine editors, from photographers to unique snowboard shop owners. Those featured are from all over the world, but they all share the same passion for snowboarding. The ‘How-to’ section, written periodically by Fusaki, focuses on providing mental support for snowboarders. The ‘Gear’ section is written by Dr. Gear who also writes for several snowboard magazines. This section also introduces gear recommended by other snowboarders. The ‘Special’ section is made up of unique information such as competition reports, pro-rider style check, sticker tips, and trip planning. The ‘Column’ section features articles written by a variety of writes and perspectives. The ‘Link’ section has links to over 1000 related websites. The ‘Bulletin’ section, which is the second popularity to the ‘Global News’ section has four main categories. The first category is the ‘how-to’ bulletin in which Fusaki and Hajime answer snowboarders’ questions. The second category is the ‘Gear’ bulletin where Dr. Gear and ‘Dr. Wax’ Masumi fields snowboarders’ questions. The third category is the ‘Whistler’ bulletin that provides information about Whistler, where Fusaki currently lives and dmk was born. It also has a web-cam that shows Whistler. The last category is the ‘Miscellaneous’ bulletin covers any other questions or topics not covered in the other categories. COMMUNITY DIVISION The Community division organizes dmk's SNOWBOARD club.
